Their family expands even more when Rebecca gives birth to their daughter, Pamela Katsopolis (Gail Edwards), completing their loving household. In "Fuller House," Joey is married to a woman named Ginger (Laura Bell Bundy).

For a while during seasons two and three, Joey and Jesse run an advertising business, J&J Creative Services, in which they compose jingles for television and radio commercials. In season four's "Joey Goes Hollywood," Joey wins a role he secretly auditions for in a sitcom co-starring Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello called Surf's Up. Joey's most successful job was portraying "Ranger Joe," on an afternoon children's variety television show. Decides to quit practicing the guitar, realizing that he is not setting a good example. Although there was some tension between Joey and Jesse when they first move in with the Tanners, they quickly become good friends to the point where Jesse asks Joey to be his best man at his wedding. Even so, Joey's perceived immaturity does irritate Jesse at times.

Weinger returns to the series as a regular character in the season six premiere "Come Fly With Me", in which D.J. Introduces him to her family as Steve Hale (establishing Weinger's previous role of "Steve Peters" to have been a separate character). He is known for having a healthy appetite, and often eats at the Tanners' when he visits. Kimberly Louise "Kimmy" Gibbler (portrayed by Andrea Barber, recurring since season one and upgraded to a series regular in season five) is D.J.'s best friend and the Tanners' annoying but well-meaning next-door neighbor. In Fuller House, Jesse, Becky, and Danny all move to Los Angeles. Jesse becomes the music composer for General Hospital while Becky and Danny start a new nationally syndicated talk show called, Wake Up USA.

Matt eventually starts dating Gia much to DJ's annoyance. Before becoming a veterinary doctor Matt used to be an underwear model. Joey has held various jobs in addition to his work as a stand-up comic.

During the timeline of "Full House," it's mentioned that Claire lives in Tacoma, Washington. However, in order to be closer to her son and grandchildren, Claire eventually moved to San Francisco. Like Danny, Claire is a neat freak, and she once mentioned that when he was a boy, she and Danny would often bond over cleaning. It seems that her great-grandson, Max, also inherited her love of cleaning in "Fuller House." Nicholas "Nick" Katsopolis (John Aprea) was born in Greece, and later moved to America, where he started his own bug exterminator business.
How the Tanner house became the Fuller house in Netflix’s spinoff series
In "Easy Rider" (5.13), he teaches Michelle to ride her bicycle without training wheels and reminds her that she has to learn to ride, not only without training wheels but without a grown-up at her back. In "Driving Miss D.J." (5.20), he reminds Michelle that while she and Stephanie share a room, she must go play elsewhere in the event that Stephanie has her friends over, similar to what Stephanie did when she shared the room with D.J. He reminds her that they can't play favorites, and even preaches the classic proverb "You can't always get what you want in life", and his example is that he wanted to be Fred Flintstone growing up, but he "had too many toes". In "The Heartbreak Kid" (6.16), he reminds Michelle that married people (in real life) have to move out of their initial home, asking if that's what she really wants.

They end up forming J&J Creative Services, which they use to compose jingles for television and radio ads. In "Joey Goes Hollywood", Joey wins a role in Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello's new sitcom Surf's Up. The series experienced heavy turnover with its writing staff throughout its run. Show creator and executive producer Jeff Franklin was the only writer to remain with the series throughout its entire eight-season run (Franklin also wrote and directed several episodes during the first five seasons).

In season three Danny reveals that he and Teri got divorced. Danny and Becky asked for raises on their show but since they asked for too much they are fired and replaced by Mario Lopez. After feeling sorry for themselves they go back to Wake Up San Francisco to ask for their old jobs back but the station only wants Becky back. Two episodes later in "To Joey, With Love," he starts a new band called Hot Daddy and the Monkey Puppets.
To cheer him up, the girls somehow tracked down Vicky and surprised him with her. He invites her to the 30th "Dadi-versary" party the girls threw for him, Jesse and Joey. Since Becky, Jesse and Joey are all moving back to San Francisco, Danny announces he's moving back too, and back into the house.
He is a die hard Elvis Presley fan and Elvis was his inspiration to be a musician. Stephanie originally believes she's infertile, but later finds out she has a few viable eggs. She and Jimmy decide to find a surrogate to carry their child for them. Kimmy volunteers, and later gives birth to Danielle Jo Tanner-Gibbler.
She is often known to be a poor student in school, and had copied D.J.'s homework during most of the early seasons. (who had fallen asleep on her boyfriend Steve's couch while watching a movie in his apartment). Michelle Elizabeth Tanner (portrayed by twins Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen), is Danny and Pam's youngest daughter. Danny is more overprotective of Michelle than the other girls.
